Born in Tokyo in 1965. In 1989, graduated from Tama Art University with a degree in Graphic Design, and joined the advertising agency, Hakuhodo Inc. in the same year. Remained at Hakuhodo until 2000, then established "Samurai" creative studio. Performs all aspects of creative and art direction covering a broad array of product development, space design and advertising campaigns, for clients and products including the popular musician 'SMAP', Honda Motor's Step Wgn, Kirin Brewery's 'GOKUNAMA' 'NAMAKURO' beer and 'Chibi Lemon' drink, Shiseido's '5S' line of products, TBC beauty salon, Parco fashion stores and 'OZOC', the fashion brand for women in their 20's. Awards received to date include the Tokyo Art Director's Clib Grand Prize, Asahi Advertising Award, Yusaku Kamekura Award, Japan Graphic Designer's Association New Designer Award, Tokyo Typographic Director's Club Gold Prize and Japan Package Design Golden Award. Member of Tokyo ADC, Tokyo TDC and JAGDA. |
