Representative, Nippon Design Center Inc.. Professor at Musashino Art University. Hara's design is characterized by its sensuousness, recognizing and delighting in the relationship with the senses like the sense of touch. He planned and produced the Re-Design exhibition currently touring the globe, through which he delves into perceptions that inspire new life in our routines. For this project, at the 17th Biennial of Industrial Design, he received both the Icograda Excellence Award and the Icsid Design excellence Award. He has been on the board of MUJI since 2001, and for this client launched the ad campaign that won the Tokyo Art Directors Club Grand Prix Award '03. His recent work includes the program for the Nagano Winter Olympic Games, the renewal of the Matsuya Ginza Department Store, the signage system for Umeda Hospital, the official poster for Expo 2005 and visual identity development for the Mori Building Co., Ltd. |
